How to remove a background from a product photo

1. Photograph the product on a plain surface with good, even light. Keep the whole item in frame.
2. Upload the photo and choose Product, then click Remove background. The first run downloads the AI model once (about 100–180 MB) and saves it in your browser for next time.
3. Choose Transparent for a PNG cut-out, or Custom colour and pick white (#FFFFFF) for marketplace listings such as Amazon, eBay or Shopify.
4. Download the PNG. For a passport or visa photo, crop it afterwards with the visa photo maker — note that many passports do not allow background replacement.
